Officially a candidate!

I and my three colleagues from Meath, East and West, went to the Courthouse in Trim to get ourselves nominated as candidates. I am shown in the photograph here applying for nomination. On the left is former County Registrar for Meath, Maire Teahan, who will be returning officer for County Meath at the election. It is a serious enough process as can be seen from the photo. However, I managed to get on the ballot paper!

Afterwards, all of us and our entourage went for an excellent hearty breakfast in the Trim Castle Hotel. It is possibly the last time the four Meath candidates, me, Noel, Johnny and Mary, will see each other before the election. We enjoyed the craic in the hotel, left around half eleven and we all went our separate ways canvassing.
